This is the first installment of the new Blackened Earth Chronicles.  Thanks for joining up.

Lots to say about what's going on on the Blackian Front.

1.  We will be featured on ABC-53's "Entertainment Express Weekly" this Thursday, March 2nd.  The show runs from 7:30pm - 8:00pm, our segment will be on about between 7:45 and 8:00pm.  It's only about a 3 minute spot - so don't run to the kitchen!  Mike from ABC-53 came down to the Blackian Lair in J-town and taped us.  We played "Decsend" and did some interview stuff in preperation for the Prong show.

We also have an article coming up in the What's On section of the Lansing State Journal on Thursday March 2nd.  Brian talked to Anne Erickson at length about our new CD and other things that motivate us to make music.  Check it out.

2.  Speaking of Prong!!!  The next week, on Wednesday, March 8th we will open the PRONG show at the Temple Club in Lansing.  Negative Red will also be playing.  This is a low-dough show - tix are only $10 in advance.  It is an 18+ show.  Doors open at 8pm - show starts at 9pm.  Not sure yet if we are playing first or second - so get there early.

3.  We will be playing a lot of new songs at the Prong show.

4.  We are 100% done with 6 songs for the new CD and are about 60% done with the other 3.  We are hoping to wrap it up by the middle of April.

5.  On March 10th and 11th we will be at the Rocker in Grand Rapids.  These shows are gonna be awesome.  Sex and Patriotism and M-88 will open for us on Friday.,  Then Adrenachrome and Under One will be tearing it up with us on Saturday night.  If you know anyone in Grand Rapids - tell them to come out for these shows - it's not everyday you can see all this great music in one weekend.

6. On March 17th, aka St. Patrick's Day, we will be playing at Oades Hidden Camel in Lansing with Under One, Hokori and Dead Reconing.  Make this the last stop on your St. Patty's adventure.  Wether you are pub-crawlin', Aerosmith'n or just drinkin - Oades will be rockin all night long.  There will be contests, door prizes and giveaways from your favorite local bands and Oades.

7.  Make sure you support the local scene by attending the "Homegrown Throwdown" every Friday night in April at the Temple Club.  Hopefully we will make the cut and be playing for y'all, but if not we'll be out there supporting the others.  They need you...we all need you.
